Compact gasoline vehicle Changan CS75 Plus

The Changan CS75PLUS Gasoline Car is not an improved or enlarged version of the Changan CS75. In fact, in my personal opinion, the Changan CS75PLUS is simply a new car, a unique car. Its appearance, interior, and configuration have undergone significant changes and improvements compared to the CS75.

In terms of model selection, Changan CS75PLUS Sedan Car provides two engines, 1.5T and 2.0T, for everyone. There are four models to choose from for the 1.5T model, while there are two models to choose from for the 2.0T model. Moreover, there are significant differences in the transmission configuration between the two models, with the 2.0T using 8AT and the 1.5T using 6AT.

Unlike the butterfly shaped front face of Chang'an CS75, the PLUS version has a more three-dimensional front face compared to the CS75. The most obvious feature of this car's front face is the split intake duct decoration on the two cheeks. Everyone knows this is just a decoration, but the exaggerated design still gives the front face of this car a clear sense of design.

In terms of lighting, except for the two low-end models, all other models of Changan CS75PLUS use LED light sources, and its headlights adopt a combination of high and low beams. This design also makes the overall headlight design of this car relatively compact, giving a sense of proficiency.

In terms of body contour, this car's contour is consistent with the Changan CS75 Suv Car, both of which have a more rugged design style and no sliding back design. This design style can maximize the headroom of rear passengers without being affected.

The size of this car is 4700 * 1865 * 1710mm, with a wheelbase of 2710mm. The size is considered large among models in the same class, coupled with its relatively large wheelbase, so the overall interior space is relatively spacious.

In terms of wheels, Changan CS75PLUS normally has three sizes of wheels, namely 17 inches, 18 inches, and 19 inches. And the car I evaluated is equipped with 19 inch wheels as it is a top of the line 2.0T model. Considering that the Changan CS75PLUS is a compact SUV, using 18 inch wheels is also very coordinated, while choosing 19 inch wheels may be slightly larger.

In terms of the rear end, the most exaggerated design of this car's rear end is the tailpipe design, which adopts a dual row four out design. Overall, it is a sporty car with excellent performance, but in reality, it is just an SUV.

In terms of interior, it is somewhat similar to the Red Flag HS5. The Changan CS75PLUS also uses the same connection screen as Mercedes Benz. However, unlike the Red Flag HS5, there is an angle between the two screens of the Changan CS75PLUS, which makes its design look less monotonous and gives it a sense of design compared to the HS5.

In terms of configuration, as it is the top of the line 2.0T, this car is very comprehensive in terms of configuration, especially in terms of active safety and driving assistance, with almost 90% of the configurations available. However, in terms of seat configuration, this car is not very good. Even the top of the line model does not have lumbar support, so friends who need it can go to the auto parts store to install it.

In terms of dashboard, the top configuration dashboard of Changan CS75PLUS2.0T defaults to the style shown above. However, if you don't like it, you can adjust and switch themes, which is the same as switching themes on your phone. It can be said to be very sci-fi. However, personally, I still prefer the earliest physical pointer mode.

In terms of electronic screens, what is the biggest benefit for a car with a large electronic screen? Naturally, when dividing screens, all screen information is displayed completely and clearly. Similar to the above picture, for car buyers, this method can save a lot of trouble and avoid the issue of screen switching.

In addition to these, I found two buttons on the right side of the gear lever of this car to control the audio and speaker, as they were really inconspicuous. It is estimated that many new car owners will not be able to discover them. I personally believe that setting a virtual volume adjustment button on the screen would provide a better experience.

This car doesn't have many cup holders. The front cup holders of the Changan CS75PLUS require a hood to be opened in order to use. Although the depth is not deep, the advantage is that there are protrusions inside that can fix the water bottle and beverage bottle. I experimented and found that the cans I put in wouldn't shake.

As an SUV, emphasizing sportiness seems unreliable due to the height of the car. However, the Changan CS75PLUS is different, as its engine power parameters are eye-catching and its driving power is very abundant. Therefore, it is necessary to have sports seats to solve the problem of lateral support. This is also the main reason why the wings on both sides of its seat are very high.

In terms of configuration, even though the car we evaluated is a 2.0T top configuration, its seats still lack lumbar support and seat ventilation, making driving more difficult in summer. You need to prepare a seat cushion with good breathability.

In terms of the rear seats, the initial backrest of this car's rear seats is relatively vertical, but fortunately, the backrest angle can be adjusted, and after adjustment, a good sitting posture will be obtained. However, this seat does not have seat heating and ventilation, so the rear passenger experience cannot be compared to the front seat.

In terms of engine, this car is equipped with a 2.0T engine, with a maximum horsepower of 233 and a maximum torque of 360 Nm. Based on paper parameters, the power is absolutely sufficient. Although this car also has a 1.5T model to choose from, the maximum engine horsepower of that model is only 178 and the maximum torque is 265 Nm. Pushing a 1.7-ton car is quite laborious, and the small horse pulls the big car, which ultimately increases fuel consumption. The damage is naturally your own pocket.

In terms of transmission, in order to match this powerful engine, Chang'an CS75PLUS uses the manumatic, and the top model uses the 8AT. Although the shifting speed still cannot keep up with the dual clutch, it is relatively fast in the AT transmission and more advanced than the 6AT of the 1.5T model.
